About Us

The idea for the Strasburg Care Center (SCC) began in the late 1950's when a group of individuals identified a need for Emmons County.  At the time there was no place for the elderly and/or others needing nursing care to reside in our county.  Through this groups commitment and dedication to those needing care, the first resident was admitted to the SCC in 1962.

For 60 years our facility has operated under the guiding principles of Service - Caring - Commitment.  Our South Central ND location caters to residents of Emmons County in ND and Campbell County in SD. However, many across our State and those coming back to ND have graced our halls and allowed us to serve them.

SCC is a Medicare and Medicaid certified skilled nursing facility, dedicated to providing personal and professional commitment from each and every employee in each and every department.  The Strasburg Care Center provides an atmosphere where residents feel respected, comfortable, and consider SCC home.
