About

A Legacy of Compassion. A Future of Caring
Strasburg Care Center has been serving the people of Emmons County and surrounding communities for more than 60 years. What began as a vision in the late 1950s—to create a place where individuals in need of long-term care could receive support close to home—has grown into a trusted, compassionate, and person-centered care facility that continues to honor that original mission.
Our doors opened in 1962, and since that first resident arrived, we’ve remained dedicated to providing not just care—but community, dignity, and a true sense of belonging. Generations of families have entrusted us with their loved ones, and we carry that responsibility with pride and purpose every day.
Our team is made up of individuals who believe in the importance of human connection. From nurses and caregivers to housekeeping and dietary staff, every member of our team plays a vital role in helping residents feel safe, respected, and at home. We believe in person-centered care, which means we see each resident as an individual with unique needs, preferences, and goals—and we tailor our approach to reflect that.
Strasburg Care Center is proud to serve residents across Emmons County, North Dakota, Campbell County, South Dakota, and beyond. We are especially honored to care for individuals returning to their home state later in life, seeking the familiarity of their roots and the comfort of community.
As we look to the future, our commitment remains the same: to provide exceptional care in a setting where residents are encouraged to live with dignity, purpose, and joy.
